As from I have heard he doesn't use this plugin btw you can see which plugins they use if you check out Rukes' pictures of SHM before MSG.

Ps: everybody's using that sh*t? I don't think so... I've took a look about it on youtube, it's the worst commercial children-ready sh*t EVER.

We are not here to make a good basical kick in during the production/writing of a track
We are here trying to emulate the loudness of Ax's kicks in mixing/mastering process.
In conventional way nothing is working as well as Ax's loud kicks. |
Hes an amazingly talented producer and has a good ear.... He knows how to make space in the mix for the kick to breathe.... meaning the kick is rarely fighting for space (EQ) in the mix. This way everything is pushed less and sounds better... Its all about the mixdown. I can't say forsure but I doubt axwells kickdrums magically come to life during the mastering stage. You can have the best kick ever, but if you have a subby bassline, deep toms, and other low-end energy going on the kick isn't gonna come through the mix. Sounds simple enough, but its an art in itself... thats why axwell is the man. Hope this helps. Take my word for it and have a listen to some of my music. http://soundcloud.com/s-cocheers
